10 Sim card fraudsters have been arrested by police at Olbutyo trading center in Bomet with several national ID’s and unused sim cards.
The incident was confirmed by Chepalungu sub-county police boss Phanton Analo who led the police to raid a premise following several complaints.

Those arrested during the operation have been identified as Brian Langat, Brian Cheruiyot , Aron Bett , Emmanuel Rono, Amos Kiprono, Titus Kipngeno, Dennis Rotich, Dennis Koskei, Marcos Kipkurui and Daniel Kiplangat.
During the operation, the police also received information including KCB MPesa limits, SIM card pins, MPESA balances and fuliza limits of those who had their sim cards messed up with.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing as the police crack the whip on sim card cases originating from the county.
