A 19-year-old man killed his father using an arrow following a row over maize in Kambaa area, Elgeyo Marakwet.
The victim identified as Thomas Kemboi met his death after visiting his Felistus Kipchirchir at his house to borrow some maize.
According to the area Chief Michael Oswago no sooner had Thomas arrived than he started quarrelling with his son where he threw a hoe at him out of anger.

“There was a disagreement when he showed up at his son’s home and they started quarrelling. The father was agitated and threw a hoe at him,” said Michael Oswago.
Angered by the fight, Felistus went back to his house and came back with a bow and arrow which he used to hit his father in the neck.
His attempt to go into hiding failed as he was cornered near Arror Dispensary and taken in for detention.
