Sports CS Ababu Namwamba has for the first time addressed his alleged relationship with content creator and radio presenter Azziad Nasenya.
Speaking exclusively to Kenyans.co.ke, the Sports CS noted that their relationship is purely professional thus her appointment to the Talanta Hela Committee.
“Azziad is not my girlfriend. We do not have any relationship whatsoever,” said the CS
He continued by saying that Azziad has been unfairly targeted with people with malicious motive even when others had also been appointed to the committee.

“I actually feel sorry for the poor girl. You know for me, I have been in the trenches and when you have been in the public space, you grow the skin of a crocodile on top of a hippo, covered by the skin of a buffalo and you can take all sorts of blows.” said the CS
CS Ababu Namwamba continued by calling out on people to refrain from spreading fake news terming them baseless as they meant to tarnish the image of Azziad. He called on her critics to tone down.
“While it is acceptable to keep public servants under scrutiny, it is also not fair to spread rumours and slander the character of other people. It is not right. Why would you want to want to destroy the reputation of somebody who, in my view, is a real hustler?
I believe that Azziad has not been treated fairly, and I have not been treated fairly as well. Azziad is innocent as I am,” he said
The content creator has been linked with the CS not only after the appointment but it emerged that they had matching shoes.
