The Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) has thrown its support behind the Catholic church in criticizing President William Ruto’s administration.
The statement follows a a joint statement issued by the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB who called out the government for promoting the culture of lies, misplaced priorities, corruption and neglecting its citizens.
According to the Bishops, the current regime is selfish and greedy such that it has neglected matters education, health and security but went against Kenyan’s cries on overtaxation.

After a long silence following the statement by the Bishops, ACK was called out to act and support its very own causing speculation among Kenyans.
On Monday, they released a statement taking note that government is yet to turn things around and that dismissing the joint statement was a wrong move.
“We believe that the government is yet to turn around the country and steer it in the right direction. Calling church leaders names or dismissing the bishops’ statement as ‘misleading, erroneous and false,’ is itself dishonest,” said Sapit

ACK church continued by raising questions into the recent abductions, murders and disappearances saying that the citizens have suffered.
“It cannot be gainsaid that Kenyans have suffered unexplained abductions, forced disappearances and unresolved murders. Who should be held responsible if not the government?” said Sapit
Other issues raised include the wanting state of the health sector in the country that has seen many begging for government intevention.
“We demand transparency, greater accountability, time-bound plans, and urgent interventions in such services as especially medical care, which cannot wait,” he said
