Acting Police Inspector General (IG) of Police Gilbert Masengeli has assured Kenyans that there will be adequate security on Thursday ahead of the planned protests.
Speaking on Tuesday at Embakasi Administration Police Training College (APTC), Masengeli noted that security will be beefed up across the country as Gen Z supporters plan the #Nanenanematch.
“On matters ‘nanenane’ we are just talking about the general security,” he said

He continued by calling on protesters to abide by the law even though they have the right to demonstrate, picket and assemble.
“Every Kenyan, as per the law, has the liberty to demonstrate, picket and assemble. Where the privilege of the rights of one ends, is where the other starts. We are all Kenyans and we have to abide by the rule of law. This is a country governed by democracy and the constitution,” he said
It has been revealed that the discussions also centered on the police logistics on Thursday in all parts of the country.
