Agnes Ngetich has made history in Valencia after finishing the 10 kilometer road race in 28 minutes and 46 minutes.
Confirming the new record was World Athletics who noted that Agnes made history by running under 29 minutes.

“Kenya’s Agnes Ngetich smashes the 10 kilometres road race world record* by an astonishing 28 seconds at the10KValencia and becomes the first women in history to break 29 minutes.” said World Athletics
Congratulating Agnes was Sports CS Ababu Namwamba who confirmed that she called the athlete to congratulate her for smashing the world record.
“Stepped out of church this blessed sunny Sunday to the beautiful news of Agnes Ngetich smashing the World Record in the 10km Road Race in Valencia Spain. I have spoken with Agnes on the phone to congratulate her on this superb feat. Whole of Kenya is proud of you Agie. Hongera!” said CS Ababu Namwamba
