Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has made peace with the decision of the Supreme Court and issued his conditions if he is to appear before the court again.
This is after six Judges of the Supreme Court recused themselves from the Ksh 2 billion land case as long as they are members of the court.
“Now that CJ Martha Koome today read the order of the Court where 6 judges recused themselves from the case I was to argue and futher baring me from the court as long as they members of the Court…I’m ready to MAKE PEACE with the court as follows:
1. I will not take a brief or appear before the Supreme Court as long as CJ Koome, DCJ Mwilu, Smokin Wanja and Njoki are judges of the Supreme Court Kenya.
- Ahmednasir Abdullahi files petition challenging Supreme Court ban
- Ahmednasir Abdullahi banned from the Supreme Court
2. I will come back to the Court (InshaAllah) if and when Justices Ibrahim, Lenaola, Ouko and other new members constitute a majority in the Supreme Court.” said the lawyer.
Even though the case was not allowed to proceed, lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi was glad that the court allowed his clients time to engage another lawyer and prioritize the hearing given the illness his client was battling.
“I joined the Supreme Court proceedings on the “sidelines” this morning. I’m glad that CJ Martha Koome first gave my clients time to engage another lawyer and second to prioritise the hearing of the consolidated appeal due to the illness of Mama Cherubet Chelugui.” said Ahmednasir.
