An aircraft crashed on Wednesday night near Reagan Airport halting operations at the airport as confirmed by authorities.
After the incident, multiple helicopters including that of the U.S military, Park Police and the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department could be seen flying around the scene. Also reported to be at the scene were fireboats.

According to Washington, D.C., police multiple agencies are conducting search and rescue at the Potomac River after the aircraft crash.
A video shared on social media reveals two aircrafts moving in the same direction before they were engulfed in a huge fireball.
