It was business unusual in Metembe village, Masimba Ward in Kisii County after angry villagers killed five members of the same family.
The action by the villagers follows allegations that the family was involved with the murder of a middle-aged man whose body was discovered a month ago.

Among those killed include a father and father of the same family with two other family members reported to have managed to escape.
A total of six houses were later torched by the same villagers as they were linked to the family accused of committing the crime.
The bodies of the deceased were moved to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital as investigations into the incident is ongoing.
Confirming the incident was South Masaba Deputy Commissioner Jane Manene who revealed that DCI officers have also launched investigations into the incident.
