The Archdiocese of Nairobi has come out to deny rumours making rounds that His Eminence John Cardinal Njue has passed away.
“It has come to our attention that persistent rumours are circulating regarding the alleged death of His Eminence John Cardinal Njue. We wish to categorically state that these claims are entirely false and without foundation.
His Eminence John Cardinal Njue is alive, and we ask everyone disregards these baseless rumours.” reads the statement.
The statement continues by urging every from sharing or entertaining unverified information, particularly on sensitive matters such as this.
“Should there be any official communication regarding His Eminence’s health or any other matter, it will be conveyed through official church channels.
We ask that you keep Cardinal Njue in your prayers and we wish him continued good health and blessings.” read the statement
