Milei’s spokesperson confirmed during an interview that the President will not apologize and instead called on the Spanish officials to retract insults that have been aimed at him.
The visit by Milei was however controversial as he refused to meet the Spain’s King Felipe and Sanchez and instead went on to promote his book at the rally alongside Vox leader Santiago Abascal.
Josep Borrell, the European Union’s foreign policy chief condemned the allegations saying that they have no place in the current society especially those aimed to family members of political leaders.
Spain’s main opposition party the conservative People’s Party (PP) called on Sanchez to provide more information on the allegations.
