Both Arsenal and Liverpool recorded wins in their season openers on Saturday to join Manchester United who won against Fulham on Friday.
In the early kick off of the day, Liverpool were away against Ipswich and after a barren first half, the Reds broke the deadlock through Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah doubled it making history of either scoring or providing an assist in every Liverpool opener.
The result was one to be admired under Arne Slot who has big shoes to fill following the depature of Jurgen Klopp last season. Slot has also recorded an impressive pre-season run ahead of the main season.

Rivals Arsenal also recorded a similar win at the Emirates Stadium thanks to Kai Havertz and a superb finish from Bukayo Saka in the second half.
Saka who was the assist maker in the first half has proven a perfect partnership between him and Havertz who has kicked off strong at Arsenal to prove Mikel Arteta right for trusting him.
Arteta is expected to bring in Mikel Merino from Real Sociedad as both clubs are yet to agree on the fee and payment structure. Merino has been left of Real Sociedad as he also agreed to the transfer.
