Both Arsenal and Manchester United registered defeat in their Wednesday night Champions League fixtures against Lens and Galatasaray respectively.
Arsenal who stepped in a favourites to win knew from the start that it will not be an easy achievement as revealed by coach Mikel Arteta.
The visitors were however ahead in the 14th minute through Gabriel Jesus who finished off a Bukayo Saka’s through pass. The goal was a relief for Arsenal as they were battling pressure from the French side.

Eleven minutes later, a calmly taken Thomasson finish leveled things at Stade Bollaert-Delelis before Saka was substituted after picking up another knock even after he was declared fit.
In the second half it was Lens time to withstand the pressure before Wahi doubled their lead to condemn Arsenal to their first defeat of the season.
Manchester United were also beaten at home against Galatasaray thanks to a comfortable flick by Icardi to beat Onana in the offside trap.
Casemiro was sent off in the clash after receiving two yellow cards as Hojlund netted a double to extend his superb form and sign of better things to come from him.
