Arsenal are still active in the transfer market and are now exploring a deal to sign David Raya from Premier League side Brentford.
Interest from Mikel Arteta’s side follows plans by Nottingham Forest to sign their backup goalkeeper Matt Turner anytime for undisclosed fee.
“Arsenal exploring deal to sign Brentford goalkeeper David Raya. No bid yet but Brentford FC aware of interest. FC Bayern also pursuing but 27yo keen to join AFC. NFFC considering Matt Turner; gap in valuations but dialogue ongoing,” said David Ornstein

Bayern Munich has however backed off from the deal after there proposal for a loan and permanent transfer was turned down by both Raya and Brentford. It is clear from the goalkeeper that he wants to join Arsenal.
“After new meeting earlier today, talks between FC Bayern and Brentford for David Raya are collapsing — the deal is currently off. Bayern offered loan + option deal — rejected by both player & Brentford.
David Raya prefers Arsenal move over Bayern. Deal depends on clubs now but Arsenal expected to bid soon in order to accelerate talks. Negotiations with Bayern are currently off after loan offered in the morning — not what player/Brentford wanted,” said Fabrizo Romano
As at the time of publication, Raya had been left out of Brentford squad suggesting that a new deal is imminent.
