Arsenal survived a scary start at the Emirates when Bukayo Saka’s back pass landed on Andreas Pereira who took advantage of Ramsdale’s position to give them the lead.
Miekl Arteta’s side staged a ruthless comeback threatening on all cylinders but their efforts failed as the visitors maintained a string defense as they provided quite a number of attacks.
Raúl Jiménez almost doubled the lead for Fulham but his acrobatic kick went inches past Aaron Ramsdale’s position. The visitors went into the break with a one goal advantage.

In the second half, Arteta made quick changes in his lineup strengthening his attack through Zinchenko who took over midfield duties and Fabio Viera linking upfront.
They made an impact in the 70th minute when Viera was brought down in the penalty area earning Arsenal a penalty. Saka who was making his 83rd appearance for Gunners sent Leno the wrong way.
Viera was once again involved in the second goal when his curled kick was converted by Nketiah bringing to life to the home supporters.
Nigerian Calvin Bassey who had been booked received the second yellow card of the night blocking Nketiah from launching an attack.
The results leave Arsenal with 7 points ahead of Manchester City and Liverpool who have their matches tomorrow.
