Premier League giants Arsenal have reached an agreement with Andrea Berta as the new sporting director to replace Edu Gaspar.
Formal details are expected to be sorted out and documents signed before the news can finally be confirmed by both parties.

“Arsenal are close to completing the appointment of Andrea Berta as new director to replace Edu.
There are still formal details to sort with documents yet to be signed, but Berta is still giving priority to Arsenal.” said Gabrizio Romano
Berta has a proven track record at Atletico Madrid and is expected to improve Arsenal’s squad ahead of the summer transfer window once confirmed.
Even though Andrea Berta has been approached by several other clubs, his priority has been the Gunners with his appointment approved by managing director Richard Garlick, executive vice-chair Tim Lewis, and manager Mikel Arteta.
