Arsenal reach agreement with Brentford to sign David Raya

Arsenal has reached agreement with Brentford to sign goalkeeper David Raya on a permanent deal of five years.

Both clubs are currently preparing documents as medical for the 27-year-old will be booked for this week before official announcement.

“Arsenal have reached an agreement to sign David Raya, here we go! Deal agreed with Brentford after personal terms last week. Documents being prepared between the clubs, medical to be booked this week,” said Fabrizio Romano

Both clubs have reached a package close to £30m, a very huge profit for Brentford who bought Raya for £2.7m from Blackburn back in 2019.

“Total package of David Raya deal will be close to £30m total package fee, being clarified in the next hours. Raya will sign contract until June 2028 at Arsenal, medical later this week. Brentford make huge profit, they signed Raya for £2.7m from Blackburn in 2019,” said Fabrizio Romano

The news comes barely hours after Arsenal sold their second choice goalkeeper and US internation Matt Turner to Nottingham Forest.
