Aston Villa has on Wednesday turned down Arsenal’s £60m official bid for Ollie Watkins citing its timing since they are in the Champions League.
“Aston Villa have rejected today an official bid from Arsenal for Ollie Watkins. Proposal around £60m turned down as Villa are not happy with timing of the bid, ahead of crucial UCL game for the club.” said Fabrizio Romano

Despite the response from Aston Villa, Arsenal is expected to make an improved offer for the 29-year-old striker who has shown interest in joining the Gunners.
The England forward has so far netted 10 goals from 23 appearances and is reported admired by Mikel Arteta who is focused on strengthening his attack after losing Gabriel Jesus to injury.
At the same time, Aston Villa are in contact with Al Nassr for the signature of Jhon Durán who has also attracted interest from Chelsea.
