Embattled Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has been escorted out of Wang’uru police station in Mwea, Kirinyaga County to unknown destination.
Escorted in several vehicles including police cars, Babu Owino was taken out of the police station hours after his family confirmed where he was being held.
Addressing the media, his wife Fridah Ongili revealed the struggle she went through to locate her husband who was no where to be found following his arrest at JKIA on Tuesday after he arrived from Mombasa.

According to the wife, she checked JKIA and DCI headquarters for her husband only to be informed that he was being held in Wang’uru police station in Mwea, Kirinyaga County.
Fridah was however denied access to he husband who she said was unwell and had not eaten since the arrest.
The family of the MP was demanding his release same to that of former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga who is believed to have been held at the same police station.
The two families are now calling the police to take them to court or else release them as they fear something bad might happen to them.
