Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has pleaded with President William Ruto to save Margaret Nduta, a Kenyan set to be hanged in Vietnam.
In his appeal, the Legislator noted that the Head of State has the power to call his counterpart in Vietnam and save the life of the Kenyan.

“President Ruto should help this Kenyan called Margaret Nduta who is supposed to be hanged/killed tomorrow. I know that he has the powers to call the Vietnam President. Mr.President kazi kwako.” said Babu Owino
The news comes at a time when news of Margaret Nduta has been making headlines given the fact that she is set to be hanged on Monday after she was found guilty of drug trafficking.
Nduta was sentenced on March 6th, 2025 after she was arrested in possession of kilograms of cocaine Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Vietnam.
