Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has confirmed that the backlog generated from the deep sea cable cut will take sometime before it clears.
Through a statement, CA appreciated the efforts made by the various network operators and internet services to restore internet services and keep the country connected during the disruption period.

“We note and appreciate efforts made by mobile network operators and internet service providers to restore internet services and keep the country connected through the acquisition capacity in other undersea fibre cables.” the said
“We thank industry players for their hard work in ensuring the country remains connected to data services and all consumers for their patience.” read the statement.
The statement follows complains from Kenyans who are still reporting delays in connectivity days after the disruption was reported in the country. The deep sea cable cuts have not only affected Kenya but the entire East Africa.
