The office of ousted Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s coalition party was on Thursday night attacked and set on fire.
Jatiya Party’s troubles began after they announced a rally in Dhaka on Saturday . The news saw a protest in front of the offices in central Kakrail with the protestors carrying the Chhatra Sramik Janata banner
The protestors did not only torch the offices but also vandalized the property by pulling down the signboard and smearing ink on the posters of the party’s founder Ershad.

“We were passing in front of the Jatiya Party office with a torch procession. At that time terrorists of Jatiya Party threw bricks at our procession from the roof of Jatiya Party office.” said a leader of Gono Audhikar Parishad party Shakiluzzaman
He continued by confirming that it was the party’s terrorists themselves who torched the office and escaped.
Jatiya Party is yet to issue any news on the incident. The news also comes months after the n Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was forced to flee to India following a string of protest that killed over 600 people.
