Below par Manchester United outclassed and beaten by Tottenham

Tottenham’s era under Ange Postecoglou has finally kicked off as they outclassed Manchester United on Saturday and book their first one of the season.

Manchester United who defeated Wolves last week was visibly weak in the midfield and attack, area that they were outclassed at the Tottenham Hotspurs stadium.

Erik ten Hag himself admitted after their clash against Wolves that his squad performance was below par. Marcus Rashford missed a clear opportunity to give Manchester United the lead when his header went over the goal post.

Bruno Fernandes also had his similar chance but it was even worse as it went wide and no where to threaten the Spurs goalkeeper. Pedro Porro almost gave the host a lead before halftime when his effort hit the bar and back into play.

At the start of the second half, Tottenham were ruthless in their style of play before Dejan Kulusevski’s cross was converted by Pape Matar Sarr in his first Spurs goal. Anthony of Manchester United also had his similar chance shortly but his strike came off the post.

Ten minutes to the end of the clash, Ben Davies doubled the lead for the host when his effort was assisted by Martinez sealing the three important points of the night.
