Benjamin Mendy has successfully won a court battle against his former employers Manchester City as revealed by the defender.
Through a statement, Mendy confirmed that the Employment Tribunal upheld main part of his claim against Manchester City for unpaid wages.
According to the defender the Premier League giants had been making deductions on his salary for the last 16 months and 23 days.
Even though he is delighted by the news, Mendy is looking forward to end the legal battle has taken three years in court in addition to all outstanding claims he holds against them.
“The fact that Mr Mendy’s contract contained no provision permitting the club to withhold wages where an FA suspension and/or bail conditions prevented the player from performing his obligations was an important part of the reason for this decision.” read the court
“The result of this decision is that Mr Mendy will be entitled to receive the majority of his unpaid salary, although not all of it.” said the court
