Benson Malova Ashiko alias Ash Papi has been charged with publishing false information contrary to Computer Misuse and Cybercrime Act No.5 of 2018.
Benson however pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted a cash bail of Ksh 20,000. The case will be mentioned again on 19th February 2025.

“Benson Malova Ashiko, alias Ash Papi, has been arraigned on charges of Publishing False Information, in direct violation of the Computer Misuse and Cybercrime Act No.5 of 2018.
Ash Papi is accused of knowingly and unlawfully publishing false information on his X account, under the username Ash Papi Mr_Papi5 on January 18, 2025.
He appeared before Milimani Court No. 5, where he pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted a cash bail of Sh20,000. The case is scheduled for mention on February 19, 2025.” said DCI
