Bayern Munich suffered there third straight defeat on Sunday for the first time since December 2019 when they faced Bochum in the Bundesliga fixture.
The visitors started the match on a rather slow pace as Anthony Losilla had his opportunity move across the bar. The host also blocked Harry Kane and Matthijs de Ligt’s headers on the other end earlier in the clash.

After a delay due to fans protests, Noussair Mazraoui was replaced by Dayot Upamecano after picking up an injury and it did not take long before Losilla released Takuma Asano who equalized for Bochum.
Six minutes later, Schlotterbeck doubled the lead for the host from a Kevin Stöger’s corner. Leon Goretzka came close to equalizing for Bayern Munich but his effort hit the side net as the first half came to an end.
In the second half, Leroy Sane had his chance blocked causing more frustration for the vostors. Upamecano received his second yellow card and red card of the night after hitting Schlotterbeck on the face in the box.
The host were awarded a penalty which they converted pilling misery for coach Thomas Tuchel. Harry Kane’s goal was to late for a comeback as they faced their third defeat in a row.
The results condemn Bayern Munich with 50 points, eight behind leaders Leverkusen who are favourites to lift the trophy as they continued with their current form.
