The body of slain political activist Richard Otieno has been taken to Kericho County Referral Hospital morgue after it was recovered at a thicket near the Molo River.
The discovery follows an irate mob that stormed Elburgon morgue taking it away as they condemned the mysterious murder of the activist.

Barricading the Molo-Elburgon-Nakuru road, the mob moved towards the house of Molo MP Kuria Kimani demanding justice but they were quickly dispersed by anti-riot police. It was at that point that the body went missing.
Richard Otieno a fierce critic of the government and Molo MP Kuria Kimani was on the spot after he led protests in Molo last year before he was eventually arrested.
Since then he claimed his life was in danger before his lifeless body was discovered inside his house. MP Kuria Kimani has since distanced himself from the murder saying that his difference with the deceased was political and nothing personal.
Kimani has also demanded justice for the slain political activist.
