According to the Italian manager, Real Madrid will not show up in another fixture if his players have not had 72 hours of rest.
“This is the last time we played a game without 72 hours of rest”. he said. “We will NOT show up and NOT play if it happens again”. he continued
His outcry reveals the huge number of fixtures that professional players have in the current season and beyond calling for a review in some of the fixtures.
At the same time, Real Madrid had over the week played Atletico Madrid in the Champions League and less than 72 hours, they faced Villareal in an away fixture.
