The Nairobi Governor continued by confirming that he had issued an order that water should restored back to Kenya Power and the waste dumped at the gate to be cleared as it was not their intention to do so.
At the same time, Justice Anne Omollo is set to issue direction compelling Nairobi County Government to remove garbage outside Stima Plaza as well as restore water in a dispute caused by unpaid electricity bills.
It has been established that Nairobi County Government has an outstanding electricity bill of Ksh 2.9 billion, an amount that has since been contested.
According to lawyer Nicole Kihara, the bill as at January 2025 was Ksh 1.68 billion exclusive of another debt of Ksh 1.27 which is under scrutiny before it is confirmed by both parties.
