Cleophas Malala links Uhuru and Raila to 17B oil saga

UDA Secretary-General Cleophas Malala has linked former President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to the controversial Ksh 17 billion oil deal.

Malala posed to ask why the two leaders questioned the government when the oil linked to businesswoman Ann Njeri was mentioned suggesting that they had a hand in it as they have interest in the industry.

He termed the allegations as propaganda as he challenged the businesswoman to prove how she earned Ksh 17 billion to import the oil.

Uhuru Kenyatta pia ameamka.” he said

Cleophas Malala continued by saying that the alleged money was stolen by the former President during his last term in office as that they pilling pressure on the President to let their cargo into the country.

“Wakati tulienda kura mliskia kuna Ksh.16.9 billion ilipotea.

We already know your interests in that scandal. Wameanza kutisha rais ndiyo rais akubali mafuta yao iingie, hiyo mafuta ikiingia wagawane pesa zao zile ambazo walikuwa wamepora Kenya. Uhuru and Raila must declare their interests in this fuel scandal.” he said

The statement is however contrary to that issued by Energy CS Davis Chirchir who claimed that the shipment was made by Galana and was under the G-to-G agreement.
