The court has for the third time denied Sara Cohen’s request for bond after prosecution revealed that she had no remorse and had earlier intimidated a police officer and witness.
“In related news, Justice Diana Kavedza denied Sarah Wairimu’s third request for bond. The prosecution had opposed the application, citing Sarah’s lack of remorse, as well as a prior attempt to intimidate a police officer and witness. The judge ruled that, in light of these actions, bail would not be granted at this stage of the trial.

Justice Kavedza also ordered that the deceased’s home remain preserved for future witness testimony. The home will be under the custody of the Officer Commanding Station (OCS) at Spring Valley police station, and neither the accused nor her family will be allowed access without prior court authorization.” said ODPP
The news follows the court hearing of witness statement including that of the lead investigator who was present before the body was retrieved and during investigation.
Sarah is accused of killing her husband Tob Cohen on 19th July 2019 and has since been under investigation as the prime suspect.
The case is set for hearing on 7th May 2025 for further direction of the court.
