CS Kindiki distances himself from 2027 politics

Interior CS Kithure Kindiki has distanced him from 2027 succession politics saying political talks a year after the General Elections are tactless.

Taking on X, the Interior CS noted that the role he has been assigned with by President William Ruto requires total focus and abstinence from all manner of misadventures.

“Political talk about the 2027 or other future elections a year after a General Election is tactless, anti-people and primitive.

It is a blot on the maturity of our democracy. President Ruto has assigned me the role of championing his Administration’s programs for the transformation of our Country into a sustainably safe homeland for this and future generations.

This sensitive role demands relentless focus and total abstinence from all manner of distracting misadventure. The ongoing debate ought to stop, but if it must proceed, I respectfully request that my name should not be dragged in it. May God bless Kenya.” said CS kindiki

The news amid an intensified political debate setting up DP Rigathi Gachagua and Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro on who will deputize the President come 2027. Political forces are already suggesting a Ndindi Nyoro leadership raising questions as to who wants to unseat the DP?.
