Defence CS Soipan Tuya has on Thursday held talks with H.E General Lương Cường, the President of Vietnam as special envoy of President William Ruto.
The two leaders discussed matters of mutual interest including Kenya-Vietnam MOU on Diplomatic and Political Consultations that was signed this year in Nairobi.

Other areas also discussed include matters defence, Combating Transnational Organized Crime, Food Security, Education, & the deployment of technology in climate Resilient Green Growth initiatives.
“This morning, I held talks with H.E General Lương Cường, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam at the Presidential Palace in Hanoi as Special Envoy of H.E President Dr. William Ruto
We discussed subjects of mutual interest to Kenya and Vietnam in furtherance of the Kenya-Vietnam MOU on Diplomatic and Political Consultations signed in Nairobi in February this year.
The varied areas of potential cooperarion between Kenya and Vietnam include, but not limited to Defence, Combating Transnational Organized Crime, Food Security, Education, & the deployment of technology in climate Resilient Green Growth initiatives.” she said
