The Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) has ordered the arrest of Senator and former Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago.

The DPP will seek to get more information on the now controversial Finland and Canada Education scholarships that have rocked the county.

The scandal which is now in the public domain has seen parents lose million to fund education and other expenses for their children in a programme that is yet to fulfil its promise.

Angry parents and children now demand for action from the national government which includes a refund of their money and prosecution of all those linked to the scandal when it happened during the tenure of then Governor Jackson Mandago.

Among those actively mentioned include Joseph Kipkemoi Maritim, Meshak Rono and Joshua Kipkemoi Lelei who served at the county level.

On Tuesday, the angry parents called off their planned demonstration citing the presence of President William Ruto in the region but sent a plea to the Head of State to help them recover there payments.

Those who had joined the oversees facilities are reported to face deportation as the schools confirmed that they have not received their payments from those responsible.
