eCitizen payment services were unavailable on Friday causing disruption in payment of government services as confirmed by some parastatals.
Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) took on social media urging stakeholders to use alternative payment methods like the bank as they work on restoring its services.

“We would like to inform all our stakeholders about the unavailability of the eCitizen Payment Service. Please use bank payment options as we work to restore services. We sincerely regret any inconvenience caused.” said KRA
The same situation was reported at the Nairobi National Park after tourist were unable to be check in following the unavailability of the service.
The government through President William Ruto had directed all government services to be paid through the eCitizen platform including the payment of park entry fees.
Angered by the long ques, visitors at the national park took to social media to voice their frustration with others saying that clearance would even taken three hours.
