The government through the Ministry of Interior and National Administration has confirmed that eCitizen services have been restored following Friday’s disruption.
Confirming the news was eCitizen Director General Amb. Isaac Ochieng who noted that issue was caused by an internal network issue that affected the operating system of the platform.

He continued by saying that the technical team acted swiftly and restored the services making it fully operational.
“We regret the inconvenience caused to our clients and appreciate their patience and support as we worked to resolve the disruption,” he said
On Friday, citizens were unable to access government services promoting government agencies to accept alternative modes of payment including banks.
