Five people are feared dead and eight others sustained serious following a Saturday morning accident along the Eldoret-Nakuru highway.
The morning incident saw a 14 seater matatu heading to Nakuru from Eldoret collide head-on with a track at Magaa, Nakuru County.

The death of the five who comprise of four men and a woman was confirmed by Nakuru County Police Commander Samuel Ndanyi.
Already the wreckage of the vehicle has been towed to Salgaa Police Station with the bodies of the deceased taken to a local mortuary for preservation pending confirmation from family members.
Those injured were taken to Nakuru Teaching and Referral Hospital for urgent treatment.
