Bukayo Saka is expected back to England duty by the Football Association (FA) despite injury claims by Mikel Arteta.
The Arsenal star who was on the bench during the club’s 1-0 victory over Manchester City on Sunday was ruled out with slight hamstring sustained during the club’s 2-1 loss against Lens in the Champions League.
At the moment, Arsenal and England are in talks on Monday to have the winger report to St George’s Park for assessment and for international duty.
During his stay at the camp, Saka will be present during the team’s talks with coach Gareth Southgate ahead of their clash against Australia and Italy.
Mikel Arteta noted on Sunday that his star boy will be absent for international duty and football at the moment.
“No, he couldn’t make it. “He hasn’t had a single training session, so he will be out. He’s not available to play football at the moment.” he said
The Gunners are now looking into having the winger up and running coming their upcoming Premier League fixture against Chelsea.
