The Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service Mr. Felix Koskei has asked the Anti River Works Development Agency to suspend its CEO Michael Thuita.
Thuita is currently facing irregularities in awarding tender for construction of Ruiru 11, Karimenu and Kitui Matuu water projects undertaken by the agency.
Koskei has also called on the suspension of the agency’s CEO Eng. Samuel Orumu who is also facing alleged procurement irregularities in the implementation of Bomet/Longisa/Mulot town projects.

The news comes at the backdrop of graft allegations from EACC who have called on CS Alice Wahome to suspend the CEO without any success. According to EACC, the presence of Thuita was hindering investigations into the graft allegations.
The contracts at the center of investigation include the construction of Karimenu II dam which will cost Ksh 24 billion, the construction of last mile water connectivity in Tanathi area at a cost of 720 million and construction of the Ruiru II dam at a cost of Ksh26 billion.
