“The charge relates to the brutal killing of Richard Otieno, alias Molo President, a blogger and political activist, at his residence in Elburgon.

The deceased was fatally assaulted on 18th January 2025 while heading home from Toshapool Table, an entertainment joint where he had spent time with his friends.

The accused persons—Peter Okech, Joseph Kihara, Evans Aseka, Geoffrey Ndung’u, and Stephen Masheti—pleaded not guilty to the charge before Lady Justice Parricia Gichohi.

The court directed that the matter be mentioned on 27th March 2025 for directions on bond/bail.” said ODPP

Area MP Kuria Kimani distanced himself from the murder admitting that they only had a political disagreement but it was nothing personal that could led him to call for his murder.
