Five people are feared dead and several others injured following clashes between the police and residents of Trans Mara, Narok County.
Confirming the incident was area Police Commander Ruku Ngare who said that the residents were protesting over alleged grabbed land in Angata-Barrikoi.

According to the resident, the over 10,000 acres of land has allegedly been grabbed by a senior government official illegally and that they will not vacate it.
They continued by saying that the land in question has been the only place they call home and they will allow any individual to take it away from them.
During the protests, a police officer had an arrow lodged on his head.
