Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has hit back at Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen who hit back at the youth on social media echoeing the ‘Ruto Must go’ slogan.
Taking on social media, Salasya called on the CS to fix the system and stop accusing those behind the slogan of being under the influence of drugs.

“Murkomen says we’re drugged-up depressives tweeting hate. Nah, CS, we’re sober enough to see your ministry’s a sieve—drugs flow in, jobs don’t. Fix the system, not our vibes.” said MP Peter Salasya
Murkomen was speaking on Sunday as he defended Chief of Defence Forces General Charles Kahariri who condemned the onslaught against the government since last year.
Chief of Defence Forces and NIS boss Noordin Haji have both called on Kenyans to refrain from the sustained ‘Ruto must go’ slogan instead they should exercise their rights in ballot come 2027.
According to CS Kipchumba Murkomen, the sustained attacks on social media jeopardise teh country’s political stability.
“Those two gentlemen are speaking from information and are warning you about the future of your country. You are making social media arguments here and there.
The future of a country needs order, otherwise, we will be in the same situation with our neighbours, sitting in refugee camps.” he said
