The football community in Kenya is mourning the passing of Mathare United founder Bob Munro as revealed by Football Kenya Federation (FKF).

Bob who has been termed as the champion of grassroot football will forever be remembered for his contribution in the sport in the country forever.
“We join the football community in mourning the loss of Bob Munro, the founder of Mathare United and a true champion of grassroots football in Kenya. His contributions to the sport and the community will forever be remembered.” said FKF
Also mourning Bob was FKF vice President Macdonald Mariga who sent his condolences to the family and friends of the late Munro.
“Sad to learn of the passing of Bob Munro, a true hero of Kenyan football. His impact on grassroots football and the growth of our game will never be forgotten. My condolences to his family, Mathare United, MYSA, and the entire football fraternity.” said Mariga
