Former Sports CS Amina Mohamed has been appointed Commonwealth Secretary-General Special Envoy for Sports, Enterprise and Development.
The news was confirmed by Rt Hon Patricia Scotland who noted that her professional background and experience on matters international including education and Sports made her a suitable candidate for the position.

The news comes weeks after she was appointed to the interpeace Governing Board tasked with making key decision in the organization.
