The government has withdrawn the security detail of former Attorney General and Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi effective immediately.
Through an interview, the former AG noted that the government withdrew two security officers assigned to him given his previous position as the Speaker of National Assembly.

He continued by saying that if the move is meant to silence him, then they have dialed the wrong number.
“Last night at around 7:30PM, my security detail was withdrawn. The two officers who had been assigned to me owing to my previous position as Speaker of the National Assembly were instructed not to report on duty today.
If this is yet another attempt to cow me into silence, they’ve dialed yet another wrong number.” he said
Muturi has been vocal about the dealings of the government accusing President William Ruto of turning State House into a place of handling his personal deals.
He has also accused the President of being corrupt saying that he has the unstoppable quench of undertaking corrupt dealings.
