Allies of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua are now facing the purge from key parliamentary positions due to their stand.
First in the list is Laikipia Senator John Kinyua who has been forced to resign by fellow politicians from the Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC).
Speaking after the news, Kinyua declined to offer his side of the story but reminded the media on what is currently happening as he promised to issue a statement when the time is right.

“You live in this country and you know what is happening. I won’t say much for now, but I will issue a statement in due course,” he said.
The Laikipia Senators is among several leaders from Mount Kenya who are facing the axe following their stand to vote against the removal of the former Deputy President.
In his place Senate has approved the selection of Nyeri selection Wahome Wamatinga. Wamatinga will be remembered for voting in support of the impeachment of Gachagua.
“This is a straightforward matter. We had already discussed the composition of our representatives on the PSC. Given that one of our colleagues has resigned, we are asking the house to approve Senator Wamatinga to replace him,” said Majority Leader Aaron Cheruyot
