Former Harambee Stars midfielder Sergeant Major WOI Elijah Koranga even though the cause of his death has not been revealed.
The late Sergeant retired back in October 2024 after serving for more than four decades and was the father to Ariel Okall, Felmas Koranga, and Emmanuel Ochieng who all play for the national basketball team.

“Former Harambee Stars midfielder Sergeant Major WOI Elijah Koranga has sadly passed away.In October 2024 Koranga retired from the Kenya Defence Forces after serving for nearly four decades.
He was the father of the Kenyan basketball trio: Ariel Okall, Felmas Koranga, and Emmanuel Ochieng.” said Ole Teya
