Former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga has been abducted by unknown people at his house in Kiambu as confirmed by his lawyer Ndegwa Njiru.
“My client MAINA NJENGA abducted by the DCI from his house in KIAMBU….He has been taken to undisclosed location.” said Njiru
According to his lawyer, Maina Njenga was abducted by police driving Subarus with South Sudan registration number and is till missing from any police station.

“Good morning Kenya the days of DETENTIONS without TRIAL and police ABDUCTIONS are here with us…..My client Maina Njenga is still missing.He was abducted by police whose Subarus had a south Sudan registration number…He was never booked in any police station.” said the lawyer
This is the second time that the former Mungiki leader has been arrested by the police with the first one being in July following the anti-government protests.
After his family failed to find him, Maina Njenga and his brother were finally presented before the court and released on Ksh 100,000 cash bail each
