Former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga and his brother were on Wednesday night arrested by the police at Olosurutia area in Kajiado County.
Also arrested alongside Maina Njenga and his brother was Njenga’s personal assistant identified as Ole Lekishe.
Confirming the arrest was the father to the former Mungiki leader Stephen Njoroge who accused the police of using force during the dramatic arrest.

According to the father, the police stormed into the house and beating people before taking them away.
“This is against human rights. It is bad for police to storm a home, beat people without any reason,” said Njoroge
Maina Njenga is among many prominent people linked to Azimio who have been arrested by the police as the government crack the whip on opposition after calling on countrywide anti-government protests.
Questions have however been asked about the whereabouts of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga who has was last seen in public about a week ago.
