Former Senator Isaac Mwaura has been appointed as government spokesperson by President William Ruto.
In his new docket, Mwaura will be deputized by former media personality Mwanaisha Chidzuga and Gabriel Muthuma.
Before his recent appointment, he was appointed as Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) in the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, a position he was yet to occupy following a court order blocking the appointments.
Isaac Mwaura will take over Colonel (Retired) Cyrus Oguna who last occupied the position under former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s regime.
The news is among a raft of changes announced by President William Ruto on Monday evening.
“Glory be to GOD! HE is indeed so very faithful to those who wait upon HIM. What GOD has kept for you HE will surely make it come to pass no matter how long! Many thanks to President William Ruto & Dept President Riigathi for appointing me as the government spokesman! So help me GOD,” said Mwaura
